A briefcase built on a structured frame and closed with a solid brass lock. Inside, two main compartments take a 15" laptop and a day's papers flat, with card and pen holders where your hand already reaches and a zipped pocket for what shouldn't move. Carry it by the top handle, or clip on the strap and let it ride at your side.

The leather is burnished — worked darker at the corners and edges so the shape reads before the detail does. It keeps going: corners deepen, the surface warms, and within a season it stops looking new and starts looking like yours.
