Our Story

Currier takes its name from an old and specific trade. The currier was the craftsman who took tanned hide and finished it — working, oiling and dressing it — into leather fit for fine goods. It was quiet, exacting work, and it decided more than almost any other step how a piece would look, feel and last.

We borrowed the name because it describes the standard we want to hold ourselves to: pay attention to the leather first.

What We Look For

We choose pieces for the material, the construction and how they will wear. Some are smooth or pebbled calf, some are suede, some keep the natural hair of the hide. Each behaves differently, and each has its own character. Whatever the leather, we would rather you know exactly what you are buying, so every product page lists the materials, lining, hardware and measurements plainly.

We prefer a small, considered catalogue to a large one. A bag should be something you reach for every day and enjoy more the longer you own it.

New and Pre-Owned

Alongside the pieces we list as new, we offer a small number of pre-owned designer bags. Each is a single item, inspected in person before it is listed, with its condition, measurements and inclusions stated in full. Serial numbers are kept on file and can be verified on request. Where We Are Today

Currier is a young brand based in Boston, Massachusetts, and we are still building the catalogue piece by piece. We are not going to pretend to a hundred years of heritage we do not have. What we can promise is clear descriptions, honest photographs and prices, complimentary shipping worldwide, and free returns within 30 days of delivery.
